Case Studies
David
David was a major in the army and he wanted to do the Kokoda Trail with his son, but was told due to an injury that he couldn't do it. However after arguing his case he was told that if he could prove his fitness in 7 weeks (the rest of the group had been training for several months) and get a medical clearance from a civilian doctor and the army, he could go. We worked with David to prepare him and ensure he was ready for the challenge and that he would pass his physicals. The photo on the left is at the conclusion of his succesful trek of the Kokoda trail and below is a letter we received from him on his return.
John,
William and I are back from Kokoda safe and well...
As for Will and I we were very well prepared. The trek was tough and demanding and the days were long and for two days wet. One of the toughest things I have ever done but we got through it without too many dramas.
Thank you again for the program and for overseeing our fitness development. There is no doubt that in the time we had we could not have done it without you.
All the best for the future. Thanks again.
Regards
David
Anna
Anna came to QESS with significant knee pain and her goal is simply to be able to run 10km without sore knees.
Her program has seen steady improvement and she has started to include light jogging in her sessions with Natlee.
Her work with QESS has been complemented with physio exercises and diet.
Colin
After six months of on-again-off-again exercising, Colin has started training for the 2010 Melbourne marathon.
Within a month of starting with QESS, Colin has seen a fantastic change in his strength and running as well has his mental ability to sustain himself during a run.
